Welcome to the course Becoming an IDB Supplier as a woman entrepreneur! In this course, you will learn about the importance of women in the economy as a whole and to the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). You will also learn how procurement works at the IDB and how you can become a supplier of the Bank.
The course covers the following topics:

Lesson 2: What is required in procurement processes at the IDB?
Lesson 3: How to put together a successful proposal for the IDB?
Any company regardless of its size can benefit from the tools available in this course to increase the opportunities to join the IDB’s supply chain.

After completing this lesson, you will know that more women taking part in the economy is beneficial to all. You will also understand what the IDB does to encourage women entrepreneurs to apply to procurement opportunities and you will have a good understanding of the different procurement types at the IDB. Finally, you will also be aware of the challenges often found by women entrepreneurs and will know the tools and services offered by the Bank to help you face these.

When you finish this lesson, you will have a good understanding of what the requirements to become an IDB supplier are, and how to approach procurement opportunities in a structured way, including how and where you can monitor new opportunities.
